The AirTouch WiFi Zone Control System can replace your air conditioner’s wall controller, allowing you to control your set point temperature, turn on or off different air conditioning zones, manage airflow, and monitor temperatures throughout your house both at a touch screen panel or with an app on your phone or tablet.
AirTouch can control 1-4 separate air conditioning units in your home from 1 or 2 panels in different locations, allowing you to control up to 16 zones. The AirTouch interface is smart and easily personalised, so you can choose to use as many zones as you’d like, and we can help you to personalise the screen to suit your home.
AirTouch works by regulating airflow through your air ducts with a series of damper systems that open and close to let air pass through. The damper movement is so precise that with AirTouch 4 and 2+, they can open and close in very small movements to let you control your airflow in 5% increments.
Often hot and cold spots can form within an air conditioning system in a home. The AirTouch WiFi Zone Control System overcomes this problem by controlling and redirecting airflow to the areas of the home that need it most. This helps to run your air conditioner much more efficiently and saves you money on running costs.
With many air conditioning installations, the single temperature sensor is just in one obscure location. During the day, different areas of your home can warm up from factors outside of your control. For example, the sun could be hitting one side of your house making the rooms in that area warmer. If those rooms have an Individual Temperature Control (ITC) Sensor reporting back to the AirTouch system, Airotuch will automatically adjust the airflow to these rooms to maintain your specified temperature, while not wasting air by sending more to rooms that are already at a comfortable temperature.
The ITC sensors themselves are wireless and battery powered. They work like thermostats, monitoring the temperature of each room or zone in your house. Your AirTouch system receives their information and responds by adjusting the airflow necessary to help maintain your chosen set point temperatures for each zone, ensuring maximum comfort throughout your home.
